Sidewinder Exploit

Hi Frontier.....good news about fixing the Sidewinder exploit in 2.4 (when you do crimes in larger ships, switch to a Sidewinder and die in order to avoid a large rebuy and removing bounties on your head).

If you've got the data, can this be backdated please?

HAHAHAHA I like it. Funny.

It's an okay exploit because it's a 'popular' exploit. Heck, it probably was 'working as intended' for a long time.

Remember morality is in the eye of the beholder, who wants truth when it's so inconvenient :D

I think the punishment should be One Credit as a token gesture...because who really cares apart from the salty ones with downgraded modules :D

We should agree that the definition of "Exploit" lays in the hands of Frontier, ok?

Ok, I confess. I turn on orbital lines to avoid crashing into the star while refueling.

Good thing Frontier has our real world addresses. I hope they start sending death squads to deal with people who do this.

Disgusting.

Since we are confessing our sins: I click on "enter hangar" before clicking "starport services" so that I don't have to wait for the elevator before accessing the starport interface.
I guess there's nothing left for me but to delete my account and commit sepukku right away.

The only reason I use a Suicidewinder sometimes is the 7day 6400cr bounty I get when after a friendly fire incident the other ship dies before I could jump out.

I'm in favour for removing the Suicidewinder exploit if at the same time they improve the way friendly fire is handled.

I use those bounties as an opportunity to go exploring. I 'run for the hills', and lay low until the heat dies down. Then I go back & pay off the fine (if I remember where it was).

The friendly fire tolerance is fine in my opinion, or is it only because I enjoy flying smaller crafts? My shots do stray occasionally and it's never an issue.
I think people lose track of the size of the war-machines they are actually flying.

I mean, imagine today's aircraft carrier or any other large warship "accidentally" shooting the wrong guy... do you think you'd get away with "woops" or trigger an international crisis?

I fly a Viper mk3 (unengineered). Thanks for asking ;)

PS: Note I didn' t destroy the ship.

Yes, but being wanted for 7 days is too long and clumsy in relation to my "crime". After all I didn't destroy the ship, an NPC did or it crashed into an asteroid by itself.
