Are all Sidewinders real players?
I followed an unidentified signal and saw 2 Sidewinders attacking a Federal Anaconda.

No. A number of sidewinders are npcs, whether they are eranin defense fighters or something else. Lock on to the sidewinder and your scanners will determine the identity of the ship.

I seem to remember someone either mentioning on this forum or on a twitch stream that if a pilot has cmdr before their name then it is a human player if they don't have this then they are a computer controlled player.

That and human players have hollow icons on the scanner. Filled symbols are NPCs.

Also i think if you see triangle without fill on your radar then that is player ...
