Horizons Sight seeing missions

Hello everybody,

Just wondering if anyone can help a newbie player i seem to be stuck on passenger sight seeing missions, ive read that some people cant find the beacon, my problem is the opposite i can find it ok but it just wont scan, no mission updates either, ive tried over a dozen times with different people still no luck, am i doing something wrong? ive tried manually scanning it with my advanced scanner aswell. [sad]

Have you selected it as a target (in the same way you would target a ship)?

Yeah everything is lined up, I've tried being really close too it and further away etc

Not sure then - just to be precise, I use the button bound to 'Select Target Ahead'. The scan then starts automatically...

Did you drop out of supercruise to scan the beacon?

You have to leave supercruise and then you will see a < > around the object in addition to the Circle. Once the Bracket is selected it will scan.

Thanks guys i figured it out my keybinding had deleted somehow, thought there was something wrong ah the troubles of being a newbie hahaha
