Signed Print

Something arrived in the post this morning... another signed copy of the A3 artwork i selected as an extra. The last one came a few months ago, and this is the same print, although this new one is a lot glossier.

I'm confused, has anyone else had a second copy? Or:

a) have i made a mistake
b) have FD made a mistake
c) am i being stupid
d) am i just one lucky son of a b**** :p

Its a possibility, one i didnt think of. But i would have thought they'd have approved the final print before sending it out first time round, rather than running through the printing and posting expenses for another batch. I remember they did have an initial run they weren't happy with and had it re-done.

Either way i'm not complaining!!! Just wondered if i was alone in this or has anyone else out there received a second copy? :)

since i am not at the property the stuff is being sent to i will call the keeper and see if anything arrived. will report back later...

however, they have me confused with the signed prints, too ^^

Concept art just arrived - again!

I've just (yeah I know, it's after 4pm in the afternoon - was well worth privatising Royal Mail wasn't it?!) received another signed print of concept art from FD.

Looks really nice - but it was unexpected. I didn't know they were being re-printed.

It's a whole lot better than the previous one I received in terms of quality... really glossy and nice, and will look fantastic when framed in my cabin when it's built later this month.

Anyone else received theirs?

I remember that FD had said there would be a reprint for the first bad prints.
Certainly in the collection box, we will have a tee shirt modified, or a polo shirt with a small logo, more discreet

:)

Yup I got it too. The new print is printed on much better paper, far shinier. I presume the quality of the original prints was considered to be sub-standard and they have sent out replacements. Good on you Frontier for caring enough.

Indeed. I was quite happy with the original tbh, but can see the differance immediately. Thankyou FD for going that extra mile, it was quite a nice suprise :)

As the originator of the thread regarding the disappointing Station Approach poster back in June I'd like to thank FD for sending out these new prints, one of which I received this morning.

Straight away I could see that the print was glossier and that there was a little more definition, a little less "blur", on the station. In isolation the improvements seemed noticeable, but marginal. That was until I compared it with the original...

Wow. There is no comparison. The details in the atmospheres of both planets are much clearer, the stars have better definition and the space station is amazing. Under direct lighting the original is grey and washed out, with little but shadow upon shadow to give any sense of depth. But the station on the new print is a mass of tiny details, with every shadow and highlight beautifully defined.

Well done, guys, and thank you. I wasn't expecting this at all, and I'm very impressed.

Thank you FD - great job. I have to say I was really disappointed with the original, but I didn't like to say anything because... well... I'm British and we don't like to complain. :p Still, mustn't grumble.

Really ? The foreign people who I know who know Brits all say we love to complain ... stiff upper lip kind of drooped years ago and we have so much catching up to do that we complain all the time .. oh hang on .. that might just be me :D

Well it's been three weeks since I backed this project and asked for extras as well.

I'm still waiting for all four art - prints unsigned, as well the Coffee mug, tee-shirt and Star-map.

I 'm also waiting for the Sequel Novella, Soundtrack CD, Ship I.D. Chart and Model of the Cobra Mark Three.

I mentioned this on a similar thread here and Mobius replied that they should start sending me stuff in December.
