Signs of life? Beacon says so!

Cmdrs i was doing this wonderful sight seeing mission and stumble on this pink rock and was intrigued by what this beacon said...
"REPORTS OF SIGNS OF A NEW TYPE OF ORGANISM"

So is this valid data that in this planet (if it has proper landing mechanism) i can find these organisms and somehow exploit it properties? Are these beacons accurate or pure lore (fiction) in the game?

This is awesome...good find cmdr.

I suspect in the relatively near future we may be able to land on these atmospheric worlds (maybe 3.x) and find these new life forms (since we have already seen some growing around vents on airless worlds).
