Newcomer / Intro Silly question; Am I Stuck

On my way back from Hip 36601 with my FC, thought I'd drop by some of the colonized systems near Orion nebula. I'm in Trapezium Sector ZZ-Y d0 and I cant jump anywhere?? I haven't visited this area since a bunch of it was p-locked all those years ago, but there's still wads of systems that aren't p-locked (including ALL the ones that have been colonized), but the route plotter won't let me jump anywhere....at all... Doesn't matter if the system is p-locked or not. nor does it matter if it's 8ly or 80 away from me. it's weird.

What happens if you exit the game (to the Main Menu) then re-enter the game?
and if that doesn't work Help and Info -> Stuck Recovery has helped me when my ship has been stuck leaving space stations though it may not help in your situation

Are you sure you can't get to this system which is just 8.79 LY away from where you are?

A lot of that region is suffering from the route plotter being unable to cope with being so near the permit locked systems all about it, so it just gives up even on a single jump.

If you use the Select Target option from the Galaxy Map or pick a star from the Navigation Panel and jump to that target rather than try and plot you can still get around in a ship.

Though I have ridden into there on a Fleet Carrier I haven’t tried to bring mine in yet so I am not sure how that would be affected.

I love the fact that a problem post containing "with my FC" is not out of place in the Newcomer's forum. ;)

Maybe I should go scan some interstellar weeds to catch up. (Nope, not even slightly bothered.)

P.S. Just to be absolutely clear, I am not criticising.

haha! No crit taken M8. I wrote it purposely cause I myself find it hilarious that I've got an FC (2 months ago) and still cant figure basic stuff out at times. Been a way too long and def not familiar with this area of space. I'm was always either in the bub or waaaay out in the black past Sag-A and all that was years ago. i mean i went out to hip 36601 and almost ran outa trit lol. Totes forgot to stockpile a chunk.

Again. Me just missing basic stuff. Def should try jumping via the nav panel nxt time. tnx M8. And yeah, I think the plotter is just borked out here. Annoying, but c'est la vie.
