Maybe, possibly, but unlikely. It may also start a new religion, doomsday cult or mass panic (or all of the above) among the locals. Compare to the Firefall event in Peter Watts' Blindsight which is when aliens DSS-d Earth.

Self-destruct the DSS probe? Or the ship? Does G4 means that one sizeable chunk will remain intact and possibly makes some misfortunate surface dweller's day a little worse?
I hope he means the probe and not the ship. And yes, because with Marco you always have to remember that he doesn't finalise things… Maybe one of the geniuses in Colonia will bring the mod to G5.
It depends on the type of SRV and whose it is, some rando's maybe mine absolutely not!
This depends on the population density, best to oversaturate the bombardment to be sure.
