Silly Ships 3 Expedition: Smashing SRVs

Hello one and all to another Silly Ships expedition.

So, what is silly about this one? Well, perhaps i can demonstrate with a ship build?

Something like this: https://eddp.co/u/nVwQ6VSC

16 SRVs, your own mobile garage.

Why so many? Because this expedition is only for the fast and the furious. We are going out to find some planets with crazy terrain and do crazy stunts on them, of course, all while doing the usual exploration stuff like scanning planets and trying to find some nice screenshots :D

So yes, on this trip, bigger is probably better, because you can be sure to lose some SRVs while doing stuff.

Activities will include races, SRV PvP, jumping off mountains, jumping across chasms, and whatever else people can think of to cause them to risk losing their SRVs.

Take a SLF along if you can to record others or whatever, or do some racing in SLFs as well.

Destination region to be decided, although as usual for SS expeditions, not going to be too far. This will be more about exploring a region than trying to get long distance.

Start date, i'm thinking start of January.

Details will be fleshed out over time and will add a sign up sheet as well if enough people show an interest.

Still have nightmares from trying to climb Mt Neverest. Let me play with a few loadouts and look for a new jacket with much shorter sleeves.

Need to think on this for a bit, and check my medication.

Ridiculous idea, totally absurd and unnecessary madness. I love it!!!

I am in the middle of a circumnavigation though, so unless I crash somewhere, I am afraid I am going to miss this one.

this. however as of last night heading back to the bubble (gave up in lieu of faster goals), around 7500ly away...

I've tried this before, it's not for the feint of heart, but fun as hell. though i'll just turn in data and come in my asp with 1 srv, premium hull is usually enough to survive just about any act of srv stupidity, and you get effectively free repairs by entering/exiting the hangar. (edit - if i can put together something holding more srv's with a decent range between now and then i will, missed the srv pvp part :) )

Even have a candidate world for some decent jumps & hills, shouldn't be too far from the bubble iirc

Not bad, but looks a bit tame.

Sounds very similar to what I personally achieved with silly ships V1, although I also added my FDL to the list of destruction (twice).

I will hopefully be there, with a very large stick to shake many srv's at.

While combing Deciat 1 for volcanic activity, by chance found something relevant to the cause.

1.20G ; 3.6km peak approx
Currently parked on the peak with an srv at the ready, soon as i think of what to do from there (ie which side to roll down).
