Similarity between Thargoid and Guardians tech?

Is it me or do Thargoid and Guardian tech look similar obviously Guardian tech looks machine created BUT still very similar. Could Thargoid's be the exiles come back to claim what's theirs and see humanity as abusers of nature?

Can't say I see the resemblance between crystalline Guardian tech and chitinous Thargoid tech. The former is blue and glowy while the latter takes on colours normally associated with unpleasant excretions.

I read somewhere about the guardian time line that Guardians used a gel sack on the front of their ships to protect pilots in the early days of space travel and to make sure that the environment was protected as much as possible from their space exploits. On the front of the Thargoid ships there is a similar bubble.

Doesn't that bare a similarly to a Thargoid probe just technology instead of organic

The Guardians suspended their pilots in a gel for g-force mitigation because they were basically firing them out of giant cannons. Also I've rammed enough interceptors that I'm confident the window on the front of those things is not a sack of gel.
