Simple Code Suggestions for Depth... shouldn't take more than a day

I have a few simple code ideas.

1) Get a programmer to hammer out more NPC dialogue lines for pirates, etc. Yes, we know you're in the top 1% of liners, it's your wedding, and you want my tasty cargo. Just a few more sentences can't take that long to bang out. I'd do it myself if you'd let me.

2) Instead of everyone calling you "Commander" would it be too hard to make the sentences that are field generated to include your rank based on your allegiance? For example, an Imperial controlled station would type out "Greetings Baron, we are in a state of civil war" etc. etc.?

3) Can you draw up a few more Powerplay pictures and shuffle them in? It's been a few years and ALD is still wearing the same outfit. Those aren't super detailed paintings, and there is a ton a fan art you could even use.

4) I know it's been asked for again and again but can we get more than 2 fire buttons per group?

5) This is it, and it's a repeat, but can we get a "request docking clearance" keybind instead of going through the menus?

The game's really shaping up over the last 4 years. Thanks for the work!

This is depth?

Not really. But the repetition does get to ones nerves, I'm 100% adding a bit of variety to the comms chatter.

All good ideas here, and everything except the third fire button probably low-effort to do. Fire button would mostly be difficult for UI, where would the weapon go in the HUD, for example? Also, this would give PC users an advantage, since the console plebs are already suffering a lack of bindings. Of course, as longs as platforms are confined to their own parallel universes, this isn't really an issue, but I'd certainly want to see this segregation torn down. Sony has been recently caving in to the pressure, IIRC Fortnite is already fully cross-platform and other games, such as Rocket League, are following.

1) yes please

2) yes please

3) Make them use the same system as holo-me, but with more unique hair and clothing choices. Then we've 3D animated characters!
Although, they may look irradiated.

4) meh, game seems fixed around 2 button firegroups. Adding more complicates things for console users.

5) I can see the appeal for this.

I almost never read comms in pve... In the begining it was funny though, something like "my kids will go sleep hungry again"...

Been asked for before. Including tts third party apps with radio static to liven up the experience.

The art and sound design folks seem to be the productive ones in this game. I guess we can have the journal thing playing in the background to drown it out.

It would be nice if we could toggle the text stream off.

"that bounty makes you today's meal ticket"

before Beyond, my powerplay bounties were like 200k! that would have to be a REALLY expensive meal!!! Do pirates have a insatiable appetite for luxury foods or something?! :D

It's even funnier when you only have a 500CR bounty in a different jurisdiction and the NPCs say this instead of using a KWS on you.

Like seriously, good job. You tracked me halfway across the bubble for 500 CR, didn't KWS scan me while spouting off one of your ridiculous one-liners, and attacked my 'clean' ship. Now you're wanted and have multiple wings of system security trying to kill you for a 300 CR bounty. Good job Mr/Ms. NPC dude.

Now that I think about it, that entire situation is absurd. I swear the NPCs are constantly trying to one up each other with the level of incompetence and ridiculousness they demonstrate.

I’m sort of disappointed that they don’t have more variety. I mean, it’s just a few lines of text. I have more variety in my Astra responses from HCS Voicepacks. Just have an intern sit down and bang out 26 short messages, assign them a random value from A to Z, and inject to the game. The ATC voices at stations took much more time and effort, and they’re great.
