RCT 3 PC Simple Hole Question

Dear all,
while i'm building my coaster, sometimes i encounter situations in which i pressed too much "downward slope" and a hole is created on the ground. The hole remains even after I deleted that "downward slope" piece.
May I know how to "remove" that hole (ie, go back to my beautiful FLAT terrain) when that happens?
Thanks a lot !

Just use the terrain editing tools, it's the spade icon. Click on that and then Terrain Shaping and then Smooth terrain, you can then use the tool to fill any holes.

Thanks, Michael ! I've tried the "Smooth Terrain" function before, but it seems to depress the surrounding terrain around the hole...will it get back to exactly like the original flat terrain before the hole was created if i pressed it long enough ?

If you left-click when your cursor is over terrain that is the height you want (e.g. off to one side of your hole), the terrain should raise all land below that height up to it.

It sounds to me like you are left-clicking inside the hole to raise it, which will lower all of the ground around it to the same height as the hole.
