Simple on-foot VR solution

All they have to do is prefix the camera to the head of the Avatar and assign a keybind to click between 2D and 3D seamlessly. So by default when you exit your ship, you're in 3D when you need to interact or use the UI You're just one key. Press away from switching back to the 2D screen and when you're done you click back to 3D. That would be a minimal effort and accomplish the same thing without having to program the UI into curvature of the helmet.

What I'd like to see is just allowing the UI to be rendered in 3D as a helmet-projected HUD, and have guns and tools simply aim where I am looking. Mouse could optionally be used for smaller aiming adjustments when shooting or interaction within the center of the view. For turning in VR, add two keybinds for right and left 45 degree instant snap turns from either joystick or keyboard input. This solution is used in other VR games to avoid motion sickness while turning. Done! Then players in VR can stay immersed without needing to reinvent the whole interface for motion controls.

I would love to see this just to remain immersed while exploring. It's kind of a downer when needing to switch between modes with the current implementation.
