Simple Virtual Keyboard

Hi, any chance we can have a simple popup keyboard on the Comms Panel that can be toggled on and off in the game menu features? Something we could have appear at the bottom of the window when there is the option to type in that section is allowed, it could be controlled through one of the Joystick multi direction POV buttons i.e. the one that control power distribution of your ship on the X52.

Those of us who have not yet learnt to touch type or are unable too, leaving the VR world to type is immersion breaking and causes the loss of focus on the comms panel and the start of a frustrating battle trying to keep focus on the comms panel whilst looking at the keyboard all to simply say hello to another player!!!

P.S. Love the way all the control panels open up when you look their direction whilst in VR.

I agree with OP. In my case my keyboard is to the side, and no matter what I do, I can type or see the comms panel, but not both at once. A virtual Keyboard would be great.

Also, having few presets to record some common sentences so we can pre-type and store them and then pop them up with a keystroke will also be great.

They've already got it on the PS4 version. I want this for VR as well.

This thread might help - one of the posters has an app that seems to do this (I had problems using Dash in Oculus Rift for this, tho apparently that did used to work, so may do again if/when there are updates to either ED or Oculus).

I think this would be a nice addition.
I'm using Oculus's Rift option, in this, there's a program called Big Screen. This has a great user interface.
Pop-up keyboard can be typed on by a one-fingered arrangement and mouse control is done via a laser pointer mechanism.
Unfortunately this does not exist on Dash and I've given up this using that due to other issues I don't like.

In meantime, I am lucky to be able to touch type a bit, and have mapped most controls to my joystick.
