Newcomer / Intro Simply Cannot Complete a Sightseeing Adventure Mission (problem solved)

Okay, so tried another mission with an NPC passenger ... I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed, but either I'm missing something really simple, or this type of mission is just bugged and I should just ignore them until they're fixed by the developers. Either way, I'd like some closure on this.

Transporting an NPC on a sightseeing mission. Scan the beacon, and no problem - NPC tells me to scan the planet next to it. Target the planet and head to it, being pulled out of FSD - nothing from the NPC. Here's a video:

Not shown in the video are the multiple scans I make, and travelling to every other planet in the system to find any other visitor beacon; but there's only the one. Then okay, so the NPC wants me to target the planet, so I do ... nothing ... then I travel to it and get pulled out of FSD ... ten hour trip on thrusters ahead ... ain't doing it. Then to add insult to injury, the NPC makes a demand for materials I can't meet in-system ... huzzah.

Okay, so what the heck am I doing wrong here?

You have to navigate to the next target system

Transactions/Open Galaxy Map and then jump to the second target system.

Find and scan the next beacon.

Never do what the NPC asks you, just complete the mission objectives. The NPC demands aren't worth doing and only waste time.

I see that I should stop reading unread threads from bottom to top as I can't get back the life-span I used up answering this in their other thread... :ROFLMAO:

Don't know if that's possible here - can't seem to edit the title.

... there is always the option to make a post saying you sorted the issue in another thread you had created.

You can get thread titles edited by a moderator - click report on your own OP and ask for a moderator to make the change for you.

I'll submit a request for the mod to edit the title to indicate the OP has been answered.
Seems a silly oversight not to include an mechanism for folks to indicate their OP has been solved or answered, but meh

As you are about to find - people will just keep replying anyway, so most just walk away and (presumably) unsubscribe from the thread (in fact you are rare in replying after the OP :) )
