Since 1994...been dreaming of this game.. lol! ... SHARE YOUR enthusiasm for ODYSSEY

I remember playing tie fighter back in 1994, and until then DOOM (1993) ... and i wounder back then how COOL it would be, if someone made a game someday, were you could do both....
Ever since ive been hoping for something like that.... always played games of the two genres..

Then SC startet their game at the same time as Elite D, and i was like ... OMG....(2012.) ,... and then eventually gave up the notion of such a game would ever be fully realized and ED was the best it got.

Now odyssey i launching, and to me its really monumental, its the game ive been dreaming of since i was a watching teen, playing Tie Fighter with 16 - bit Graphics thinking it was AMAZINGLY realistic made ... lol...

I look forward to getting shot, shoot and fly and drive.. all in the same game! in a game thats the style of ED.. not really counting NMS, its more of a cartoony arcade game...

Right now, i feel the same way as i did, being 10 years old, getting my first 386 PC with DX processor and 2 MB of ram and a giant 32 MB harddrive........

Let it come! im ready for disconnects, bugs and unwhanted errors and deaths... dont care.. it will all be fine in time.. just having all this in one game makes me giggle.... SO CLOSE!

Don't get me wrong, I've thoroughly enjoyed this game for what it was, but it's great to finally be more than a spaceship with a name. It's very satisfying to get out of the seat, go outside and interact with the universe a little more directly. A huge step towards being a complete space adventure game.

I enjoyed enlisting in the army and taking the dropship to the battlezone on a planet. That was fun.

But at the same time Odyssey has a lot of problems. And as a guy who mostly explores a lot of these are very noticeable and do detract from the experience.
