why not just buy the color pack for everyone?
All my ships are in Squadron paint jobs, the shadow one. Red and black. It's the closest paint to the Federal navy. Similar to the farragut livery.
So you see I'm limited to the ships that have the squadron paint job. Anaconda, Asp, Cobra III, Python. There is also type 9 and eagle and Viper IV available.
All ships should have squadron paint jobs. Then I can expand my fleet!

But Frontier have told everyone it is happening so we want it NOW, not next year, not next month, not even next week. I have already designed our Squadron patch, ordered the tee-shirts each player will be required to wear when playing - complete with rank insignia of course, allocated players to roles within the squadron under MY control and started preparing on how to blockade first CG. We already had the list made up of which other player controlled factions we will destroy (hopefully before they get their ship) and which stations we will take over. We need to have our own unique colour scheme for all our ships, otherwise how will we strike fear into everyone else.

I'm confused by what you're looking for... Specific to your squadron or just squadron themed... whatever that is? I don't really see the purpose since anyone I'd play with would just fly with whatever paint they like the most already. I still happen to like the Black Friday paint the most myself, not that the Cutter has any serious contenders anyway.
Ah, but you see there's this guy who had this idea (it's his idea) that we should have "proper" fleet mechanics and you can't wear his team's colours or paint jobs unless he says so, and you have to fly in open too or else you're not allowed to have that paint job.
Oh and megaships.
He has to have a megaship.
But you can't dock there unless he says so. (It's his idea and it's his squadron).
Actually he already has a megaship, but it doesn't do anything so he wants another one.
He needs another one. For his squadron.
So his CMDRs can park his fleet there.
I think anyone in a Squad has to be called Ron.

There are paint jobs actually named squadron that are out for only a few ships. I'm just asking for FD try and get them out for the other ships for the launch of squadrons. That way those people who want can have them when that comes out.
Currently I pilot 2 ships that don't have the paint job. A Corvette and a FAS and would like the paint for them.

Special payed premium content... that would fit exactly into the thing... no gameplay changer, but individual paintjobs and decals... just a guess though.
But surely you know your own Squadron specific paint job! What would happen if on your first Squadron expansion to take over another Squadron uses the same paint job. How will everyone know how uber your Squadron is?
As a fan of the anaconda and owner of its awesome squadron paint pack as well as the gladiator paint pack for the condor (IMO gladiator = best looking paint jobs in the entire game), I feel like I'm already good Park your condas safely in the back somewhere and launch several SLFs with your wing/multicrew is crazy awesome for immersion and excitement. Or have your NPC crew captain your boat and have a monster pew pew battle.
Though having similar squadron paint packs for "the lesser"D) ships would be fair and also bolster new revenue for FDev.
