Since the update where is everyone? whoops theres a tumble weed!!

ED is like a ghost town.
NPC everywhere, tumble weeds and the odd player in a viper flying around like a lost puppy looking for REAL bounties not npc, you can get that offline.
I have seen tonight only 5 players and been online for about an hour. 2 vipers 2 cobras and a type 6 transporter.
I havnt seen 1 single player in a python, perhaps they are cheesed off that their pride and joy has been rendered a useless target.
no point in having dumbfire rockets for sale in the outfitting shipyard as no-one will buy them.. only to try them out and when they realise how rubbish they are they will simply not use them so delete them from the game now as they are a waste of time.
there are 4 main core themes in this game. trading, mining, piracy and bounty hunting, piracy has been potentially nerfed, and since the top 5 most wanted seems to have disappeared I assume that means bounty stats have been reset so now bounty hunting is a waste of time as you have removed the whole point of a bounty hunter so nerfing the pirates nerfed the bounty hunters.. hurrah we have a mining trading game with some npc combat thrown in. you are rapidly turning this into a massively single player online game. brilliant. oh just 1 more point.. picking up cargo in a cargo scoop is painfully slow. so for someone to mine within this game and bimble about picking up bits of rock in a cargo scoop and god knows how many hours later fly to a station for a pittance must be completely mental.
perhaps mining drones ?? no brainer eh? but we get street lights on a planet that I might see for 3 seconds whilst flying past it. YO knock knock hellooo yoohoo anyone in there... priorities and all that?
I played eve online and mining in that was painful but OMG not this painful chipping bit off and scooping up one at a time.. I mean.. whose nutty idea was that?

well I am a beta tester and for the first time since purchasing this game I am now logging off out of boredom, if I feel like this I'm sure others do, well I'm sure they do as most of my friends in my friends list are offline (normally at least 2/3 of them were on at any one time) and the normally busy trade route is empty of real players, people speak with their feet... so whatever you have done has turned people off including their computers.
at least my missus will get to watch some TV in fact I'm sure she will be thrilled you have castrated ED.
I'm not a pirate so I'm not spitting my dummy out because of that.
DONT make the schoolboy error of listening to the vocal whinging minority, think about the game play and how it will affect the silent majority.
if I was a pirate player and proud I was number 1 on the leader board of baddies and you reset it I would give up playing this game, THAT is not rocket science.
I have no-one of any significant bounty to shoot at.. IN FACT since the update I have found only 1 player with a wanted status.. 190 credits in a cobra.
you know when you are at a wedding and everyone is finally up dancing to the disco then the DJ gets carried away and changes the song thinking its a great song and he manages to clear the dance floor??
Nice one devs.

unless you can explain where the top 5 and where all the wanted players have disappeared to? cos I cant find anything anywhere.

in fact I have just had a brain wave.. to keep all the cry babies happy you know those who cry when they lose a ship to another player, well how about this. delete the entire ability to pirate from another player delete the entire ability to become a bounty hunter then those of us that want that kind of thing wont waste our time here and we can move over to star citizen when its released.
and all the traders and miners can trade and mine without worry someone might attack them. perhaps a naughty step for bad bad pirates. "you sit there for 5 minutes and think about how you stole that cargo and destroyed the ship of that poor man"
if the bounty hunting/piracy feature is part of the game theme and players join because of it... DONT WRECK IT once its underway.

unless I'm missing something then I humbly apologise for my rant.
anyway looks like ill be watching some crap on the TV .. cos there ain't nothing happening here

and why does my rank say mostly harmless? my rank is novice.. ok not the highest rank but achieved by killing REAL pirates not npc ones.. quality not quantity.

Yes, I only saw 1 CMDR
I think the above poster might be sort of right. Some people (myself included) have lost a few ships since patch and have stopped playing until the bugs/new normal are worked through

I saw several CMDRs today, including one in a Python. He stole my cargo and destroyed my thrusters. :)
That was in Leesti, though... but I saw players in other, less notorious systems as well.

I'm taking a bit of a break due in part to being somewhat disillusioned with how broken I think every ship smaller than a clipper now is. I hate template based loadouts and really enjoyed being able to choose / fine tune my ship config and dont feel thats possible to do right now. It feels that at the moment its optimised for wings which is great but doesnt work until wings is here.

Currently in the 31 Aquilae/Liaedin region. Traffic reports of most nearby system has 600 ships/24 hrs, I typically see at least 2 players in Sc at any time.
As far as I've seen, the 31 Aquilae region has a pretty stable population. People don't come here for the events, they come here for trade and the Imperial enclave. 31 Aquilae is my home system, so I've kind of had the opportunity to track it. Interestingly, it was almost dead by release, but after a few weeks, the player traffic spiked and it seems to have stayed that way since then.

15000 ships in yembo in the last 24 hours. Surrounding metal suppying systems have 1-3k

Tanmark has a community goal active as well, not as broadcast but most likley still has lots of activity.

Lots of peeps cant play due to bugs, weekend will be better and then theres after the spate of im quitting threads earlier in the week probably a lot of players that have left the game for now.

Off exploring and getting my name on the Galactic map, I was nobbled by a Player and dragged out of FSD, lucky for him, I was out of Ammunition, not so lucky for me though, so there are plenty of Players out there, looking to parasite the innocent.

great video.. but from ED 1.07 and that is exactly my point.. prior to 1.1 and prior to pythons being nerfed and dumbfires etc I was seeing battles like this on a regular basis.. but now? nothing.
and to put it into perspective.. lets take DAYZ for example.. you could have a player character who has been playing for weeks perhaps months without dying.. and another player could come along and shoot them in the head from a distance with a sniper rifle and kill them and take them back to the beginning with 1 shot (and guess what! no insurance for them matey boy, if you are lucky you might find your stuff before someone nicks it all) bang 1 second later you are dead.. did the devs within that game listen to the whining of the person killed and then decide to nerf the sniper rifle so it takes several shots to kill a player NO!
dumbfire are exactly that .. rockets .. and rockets need no targeting.. press and fire simple as that.. dumbfire are now not as real life.. if rockets were as crap and slow firing as this then they wouldn't use them in the military.
I have spent more on dumbfire rockets than perhaps my victims spent on ship insurance because if a person flies by ducking weaving and dodging you can almost not hit them with dumbfire. but if someone is stupid enough to fly away in a straight line and then die from dumbfire hits or stick their face right in front of your ship then tough... bring back the dumbfire to its previous state otherwise its pointless having it in the game..
and the python well... I feel for the players that invested time in this game to get that ship.. I have read in chat where people would revert back to an asp if they nerfed the python too much.. well I think they nerfed it so much by taking down hit points and speed as well as the rest of it .. forget the asp you might even be better off in a cobra.. apart from the cargo space, one of the legendary ships within elite has been turned into a well armed transport vessel. jee wiz unbelievable the devs although highly intelligent must be stupid. (I bet they are all politically correct)

I'm agreeing with you today... how does that work? :p

I'm not sure :p, I don't really think we differed that much the other day other than over a choice of word. I think in principle we both agreed it needed fixing, just turned out the fix was implemented poorly / or too early.
