I didn't participate in the 2.2 beta this time because I wanted to experience the update in "real time". So, I bought a Keelback yesterday and fitted a fighter bay, fighter and required crew. I flew out to a RES and holy crap, what a good time.
The moment my crewmate came over the coms and said "Good job", or something like that, totally took me by surprise. Voice in ED? Sweet. I flew around a bit and racked up about a mil in bounties. Of course before I could get back in my ship either me or the AI made a mistake and shot a local security ship. The flurry of death that followed left me without time to dock my fighter, escape by switching back to the helm but, it was the best experience I've had since the very first Alpha. I've had a LOT of amazing experiences in ED but this was by far the best I've ever had and that's saying a LOT.
Luckily I had enough to cover insurance. I have to run out with the little lady for a spell, but I can't wait to get back home to go do it again.
Give us two fighters launched at the same time and my body would fuse with my Oculus rift. Wow, good job FD, just amazing.
