CQC Single Cycle Shields?

Anyone tried them? Anyone have a sense of how they actually compare against Overcharge shields?

I'm not sure if "increased weakness against thermic" means it's worse against lasers or worse against plasma: I've heard "thermic" used both ways (meaning either thermal damage or thermal-kinetic damage).

I have tried them in my silent running build, didn't see any difference between it and over charged shields. Then again most of the time I didn't have shields anyway.
