Sirius Corp.'s Deep Space Endeavor

(Note, I've only recently gotten back into the game after a month of leave, so I don't know if I've missed anything on this. Or if I forgot something that happened a long time ago)

So a friend pointed out some populated systems several hundred LYs from the edge of populated space. All of these places seem to be owned by the Sirius Corp. ANyone have any clue as to what they're doing out there? So far seems like they're trying to reach the LBN 623 nebula....

Isn't Sirius Corp owned by one of the power play powers? The one that gives the explorer bonus. It makes sense that an exploration focused power would have stations well outside populated space.

Sirius corp has something cooking at the moment. They are involved in the dissaperance of the president in some way.
They also seem stragely in to exploration.

The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy describes the Marketing dept. of the Sirius Cybernetics Corp as: "A bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes".

Coincidently a copy of the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy which fell through a time-space wormhole from 1000 years in the future describes the Marketing dept. of the Sirius Cybernetics Corp as: "A bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came".

Not sure but am at Te Kaha at the moment and they do not have anything to sell apart from waste but is in high demand for most things, mainly food. The economy is noted as being bust so am travelling more than 100ly to get fruit and veg and beer and animal meat in order to sell at Te Kaha because they are needing to expand the area of influence and am hoping that they will build more stations in other new systems. With my profit, I am donating a portion of it to the Sirius corp in the hope of getting them out of being bust and therefore able to buy other goods from them and so develop a trade run.
If you are a trader, can you please come over to sell your goods.
