So Sirius is in a state of lockdown and the mission board is closed. Is there any way I can still get the Qwent invite, or am I out of luck?
surface port efremov plant is the only station in sirius not in lockdown, there is a chance to obtain the engineer invitation mission from there.
Mine wasnt from the sirius system itself but from one of the nearby sirius controlled ones. I get the impression that it spawns in one place and remaind there till picked up. (I stand to be corrected)
Funny how unlocking Qwent brings up so many threads. And no one even cares much about him, they just want to unlock Palin
Anyway, it is true that you have to get the invite mission from a base in the Sirius system itself. You will not get it from any other system, so don't waste your time.
In the meantime, it seems you have 2 choices
1) dump your modular terminals, and help clear the lockdown, then reacquire them (or go bounty hunting with them, but..yeah)
2) wait until the lockdown clears itself (not sure how long that might be)
Neither choice sounds very good, but that seems to be the situation.
Thanks. But I'm afraid the idea of bounty hunting while grinding/carrying modular terminals fills me with horror.
Too bad, this effectively locks up three engineers including Palin.
All neighbouring systems with a Sirius corp. presence are in lockdown;
Some group of _redacted_ are griefing cmdrs trying to get to prof palin.
Bounty hunting is the only way now to get to allied...[zZzZz]
AFAIK the Qwent invite can be acquired from any System in which the Sirius Corp. is present. So if one of the Systems they're in is in Lockdown, just head to another.
No. The Qwent invite itself can only be given from the Sirius system.
The Sirius invite to the system can be gained outside it from anywhere that Sirius faction is in.
Perhaps you mixed the two up?
It's the Sirius faction that is in lockdown, not the systems. Wherever the faction is, they, and only they, are in lockdown regardless of whether they are the controlling faction or not.
If players caused this, I'd just like to say thanks a lot (sarcasm intended). Seeing as it is in lockdown now, we may as well wait it out, so does anyone know how long this lasts?
Not true. Trading does it even more faster.
