Sites of High Mineral or Biological Density

You're traveling through the Deep Black; it's been weeks since you've seen civilization, and you've more than settled into the rhythm of exploration. Jump, Honk, Scan, Map, land to scan biologicals...

Suddenly, your scanner says something different! High Mineral and Biological Density Detected!

You land; you don't know exactly where it is, just a few kilometer radius that you need to explore. Fumaroles are everywhere, filling the sky with ice and steam, making it hard to see. But then...you see it! A hole, dropping down into the ground!

You drop down, and you see...

Sites of High Mineral or Biological Density are randomly generated locations with extreme biological and mineral density, but with dangerous environments. They might contain seams of pure crystalline gold on the walls, huge densities of fungus and other organisms - but also lava, toxic environments, high or extremely low heat, or even hostile organisms, pushing your suit to its limits. You have to run inside, harvest what you can, and run back to your ship before you die. Not so dangerous as to be too risky to do, but dangerous enough to be exciting. You'd need to turn off the exobio range limit of course; it'd be about finding three samples of any one plant in the mess inside.

More than that, these would not regenerate: the first find is a big deal. You get to mine these precious resources and haul it back to civilization. People who find it later can still scan the fungus, but they won't get the first discovery anymore, or any of the minerals which have already been harvested.

To facilitate the exploration of these rare new locations, there would be a new suit released, with the same early access model as with SCO-capable ships:

The Delver suit is slow, heavily armored, and can only carry a single sidearm - but has powerful, thargoid technology enhanced jump jets(to get up and down in deep caves), and carries BOTH an exobiological scanner AND a cutting tool. Moreover, the cutting tool would be enhanced with a new 'mining' feature, allowing users to cut valuable minerals off the walls. The more precisely the cut is made, the more valuable the items brought back become - but remember, you're running on a clock. Run out of time, and you'd better have engineered your O2 supply, because you've got a risky trip back to survive!

You won't need to get everything inside to still make a tidy profit. It might be wiser not to risk death, and just get the more easily-attainable minerals closer to the entrance. But, if you're the first one to fully deplete the trove, your name will be added to it, recording your dangerous journey for all time!
