Sitting in a tuna can high above the world

for the last week I have been having fun just doing trading runs in a t6 ,
all cargo but 1 class 3 fuel scoop no shield and no weapons
with engineers mods I got my speed to 390 , jump range to 39 ly

because I can

I have 2 cobra mk 3 and a mk 4 , viper mk3, asp x , 2 more old t6 s
and a few smaller dotted around and not touched for at least a year

its been fun and I am hoping one day to fly a moray into some seaworld one day
maybe see a rock hermit in a Krait ,or even drive and walk between towns and citys

well maybe one day

I am glad this is not the same game I started with just 7 systems was annoying
it has been amazing to see it change , evolve and how its got better
I know development on this game seems slow but the negativity is not helping

good things come to those that wait

so I am asking you all what would you like in the game that's not there yet ?

Boy good question.
I am playing the heck out of ED now and of course I would like some tweaks but since your asking....
Would like more ship types, fully fleshed out landable atmospheric worlds, and perhaps for the scanning process for worlds and systems be a little more...err...technical? If that's the proper word? Little more "sci-fi" then point and honk.

  • More elaborated conflict mechanics, such as conflict zones over landable worlds with conflicts taking place both in the sky and on the ground, and conflict-related missions that reflect this.

  • Ultra high-value passenger missions - transport the head of a faction to give a speech in a system the faction has recently expanded into. At least one of the factions in the target system is, obviously, rather unhappy about the new competition and will try to assassinate the leader. Your job is to survive all the way to the dock. Another variant of this would be escort missions for passenger vessels carrying such persons.

  • Fewer constants and more variables in the BGS - population, security level, kinds of goods produced and their prices, for example, are all fixed, or only temporarily modified by states resulting from player actions.

  • More co-operation between factions,
    • both within the superpower blocs
      • e.g. Alliance factions prefer to work with Alliance factions; Fed factions exhibit a strong preference for working with other Fed factions, and 'anyone but the Imps' in systems where there are factions of both alignment like Liaedin)
    • and within individual faction types
      • e.g. Communist factions prefer to work with other Communist factions that they are not (and are unlikely to end up in) direct competition with; Anarchy factions work with other anarchy factions and just don't generate trade missions with Feds except for the odd slave mission, etc.
  • Atmospheric worlds have a significant impact on flight models
    • the Fer de Lance and the Eagle will handle very well, with their aerodynamic shapes.
    • The T7, shaped, as it is, like a brick with winglets, will be very challenging to fly.
  • Black markets that sell as well as buy.
  • More elaboration of all existing mechanics.
  • Switching to the Vulkan API
  • Releasing a Linux client.
