Sitting Pretty,...But...

So now I find myself flying a Lakon type 6 trader, carrying capacity 60 tons, with a regular run between a mining post that luvs explosives and a main hub that luvs minerals. Round trip I earn 27,000,..7,000 creds for the explosives at 98 cred profit per ton and 20,000 creds at 325 creds profit per ton approx for the mineral, which takes a round 10~15 mins depending. Question is, do I stay and just rinse and repeat, or venture away to find more lucrative sites? I always check the bulletin board of both places and do find the odd job worth more every now and then, but always return back to where I know it's regular. I have 475,000 creds stashed.

So many decisions in such a small ship within such a big place.

With that many credits you should be able to buy the big stuff that'll net you at least 500-600 profits per ton (consumer electronics, precious metals, etc.). I find them in some places buying for 400 above galactic average, and given that it's an average then naturally high supply places should be selling them for at least 100 or 200 below, so you can net a tidy profit like that.

Do some research and find a better trade route. Even if you can't afford to fill your cargo bay with more expensive goods in the beginning, buy the one with the most profit per ton within whatever safety margin you set for yourself. You will afford to buy full loads soon enough. I'd try to find a route with at least a 500Cr/ton profit both ways, as well as a relatively quick travel time.

Looking at the numbers you posted there i'd say move on.

You will find better profit margins elsewhere.

Oh, and upgrade that type 6. You can expand that to 100 tons and even keep your shields.

Have upgraded to just over 100 tons thanks to a one off job to a place that had a refitting with 32 container capacity from 16 twice.

be careful whit the explosives, they can make you explode really easy.

Those days are over now as I've upgraded to over 100 tons capacity so looking for more tech haulage.
