Well, here goes...
For my first post on this forum, I wanted to share a little project that I've been working on.
'Six Flags London' as I've named it, is meant to be a fictional Six Flags theme park opening just outside London in the year 2017. As Six Flags couldn't fund it on their own, they have accepted an agreement with Merlin Entertainments, who now own 30% of the park. As such, the park will feature rides from both companies.
So far, I've only been able to start work on the main street, themed to a street deep in the heart of London, and a Merlin area which so far has 1 coaster and 1 flat ride. See for yourself...

God I hope these hyperlinks work.
First up is Merlin's spinoff of 'The Smiler'. I call it 'The Smiler: Project X'. I tried my hardest to make it a realistic Gerstlauer Launched Coaster, but I may have also taken some artistic liberty.

After exiting the station, the coaster immediately turns right and into (drum roll please)....... some block brakes. Immediately afterwards however, It hits the LSMs, launching it to 61mph before going into a 100ft top hat, generating a lot of ejector airtime.
A view of the top hat. Note the concrete building to the left. The ride is themed around an experimental Ministry of Joy project, designed to be faster and more efficient than the existing model of 'The Smiler'. After the complex is discovered deep in the woods, The Ministry decide to open it to the public early, before final testing can begin. As the ride starts, there is a sudden power surge, and the riders are suddenly and unexpectedly launched into the course of the ride. At least, that's the idea anyway. I haven't finished the theming yet.
Another view of the rides first turn right.
A view of the rides queue. As I said, the theming, both metaphorically and literally, hasn't been fully completed.
A small indoor area before riders enter the cars.
The ride also does a zero-G roll over it's entrance.
Did I mention that there is a small gift shop after you exit the ride?
Thus concludes my first post. Tomorrow I hope to show you pictures of the main street and entrance of the park, along with a few other bits as well. See you later![up]
