Gday,
Firstly thank you to all the backers who supported the kickstarted and have made this game a reality......i sadly to say am not one but hope to drop in on the beta ( Wife kids and mortgage.....no excuse)
Anyway reason for the post was to put some perspective in on the ships and how BIG they are. I have the desktop with the 4 ships and the little human on it and got to wondering how big are these ships compared to past space ships....so a little googling found this.....

As you can see from this an Anaconda is kinda BIG...... would be interesting to see a side by side of some of the ED ships and our past spaceships......

Again thanks to all the backers and the dev's at ED and all the staff there keep up the BRILLIANT work....you have made this middle aged mans dreams ( one at least) come true

I'm pretty sure it's the biggest I have ever found. There are other smaller ones that have elements of this one, perhaps earlier incarnations of it by the same author.

One of the newsletters says that the fed capital ship is 2km long, and this is borne out by flying the sidewinder along its length. Another newsletter compares a whole bunch of ships with Big Ben

My snake's bigger than your snake :p

And my wife fondles my Thrustmaster joystick with a suggestive leer every time she passes it.
