Skimmer-like Hovercraft

I read about People wanting different kind of SRV's. I suggest some kind of hovercraft like the skimmers.
Something that wouldn't instantly crash and flip over when collection Mats.
Downside could be additional weight and taking a big planetary vehicle hangar for one, so you would still take the SRV on an exploration trip.

I think there's value to this suggestion. Larger ships currently have the option to take bigger vehicle hangars with multiple SRV's. I'd be willing to sacrifice additional vehicle slots for a more advanced SRV, perhaps one using skimmer technology to hover slightly and avoid rocky matter on the surface. Perhaps it moves slower or something along those lines.
