Skimmer missions failed?

I accepted 2 skimmer missions and I took a bathroom break... I came back, launched to do the first and as I was leaving the station I noticed I had 2 messages, the text was blank. When I opened them up all they said was unknown contact and had a skull. I checked the transactions tab and both missions failed. No text when I opened them up... 3.6 million gone for no reason. I suppose it was a glitch.

I had something similar with a donation mission - mission failed as soon as it was accepted with blank mission tab screen also.

This is a common bug post-2.2.03 release. It has nothing to do with the type of mission, it's just a random glitch that causes missions to auto-fail as soon as you get them. I've had it happen twice.

This happens to me if I take more than 5 missions. That never used to happen. I've been assuming that FD introduced a limit in the last update. Did they?

No. You can still accept more missions after the instant fail ones.

I have easily had 50+ instant fail missions over the past few days.

FD are well aware of the issue and hopefully it's fixed sooner rather than later.

Perhaps the Mission Givers are trying to tell you something....
