Skimmers no longer showing wanted status

and with the new 'improved' C&P system I'm a bit wary. Came across a bunch on a planet guarding a crashed spaceship, nothing else in view so would it count as a crime if I shot them considering there'd be nobody to report it or are they like the telepathic guards in Skyrim and immediately label you a crim which gets broadcast galaxy wide (or at least your ship and modules do - :eyeroll).

I feel like, beefing up Punishment is an ok thing, but a) let us pay off fines in any ship and B) do a quick once over with the Crimes part too.

Maybe have a Galnet article detailing the effects and how to resolve them too.

So, shoot them and if you get a bounty go pay it off at the interstellar factors. What's the big deal?

Bounties are jurisdictional unless you rack up a bunch of them. You're not going to go interstellar for killing a few skimmers.

Most of the Skimmers I’ve encountered are still wanted, even though it doesn’t say so. Probably just a bug.

For me it has been 50/50. If you get a bounty and you're skittish, OP, then snatch up that loot and high tail it to an IF in a Low Sec or anarchy jurisdiction.

Pull the trigger.... You know you want to. And you might find that being a criminal In one of your ships is a hoot :)

E: D is all about getting your hands dirty. Being friends with everyone in the bubble is milquetoast, and milquetoast CMDRs wind up in wrecked ships on planet surfaces ;)

The trespass warning message for illegal and legal planetary sites are different. Ones that will gain you a bounty if you attack the skimmers mention some sort of penalty when entering and rescinding the penalty if you leave, while legal ones simply say you'll set off the defenses.
