Has anyone seen or been following these developments?

Basically how a revolutionary new engine is going to allow SSTO (single stage to orbit) space planes that use runways, and also Brussels->Sydney at Mach 5, via the North Pole in around 4 hours.

...Best of all its a British company behind it!

Alright, not strictly game related but there might be a few interested people here given the subject matter.... and it would be cool to see these things make an appearance in E: D - the designs look as though they would fit right in!

Sorry for the massive Necro-Post but.......

Latest on the Skylon project - if he can get the private funding, looks like the UK will have a totally patented reusable spaceplane that costs far less than unreusable rocket launches let alone what the Shuttle use to cost to run.
