Skyrim SE onsale on Steam for 20$

Its essentially Skyrim remastered with some extra graphical effects and some DLC. I feel like im the only one who hasnt played it, like it so far, only a few hours in, wondering if they can top Morrowind.
Oblivion was fun, but Morrowind had a quality rare in my gaming experience, i never felt like i really knew what was going on, or how the story might develop next. High hopes for Skyrim.

Any advice for a noob skyrim player?

Not really, only get it and play it if you like RPG. There is a huge mod community supporting the game, so it will take a long time before you run out of content.

Just wander around, get some fighting experience, do some random quests, visit the Dragon Walls to learn the Shouts, build a house, etcetera.
Basically, live the life you would in that world.
It can be amazingly immersive.

And when you start feeling bored, Nexus has LOADS of mods, and ENB will make your game look next gen if you want to.
Skyrim is not a game, it's a way of life.

Avoid arrows to the knee. It'll kill your adventuring career...

I played Morrowind three times (one time for each of the three houses to see what they offered)

Skyrim - Played it three times. Loved it. Missed "slow fall" and "levitation" spells but otherwise it was (for me) Morrowind with better graphics. As you leave the town of Riverwood and cross the river towards Whiterun, be sure to look at the tree stump just on the other side of the river - really close. Ants. Yes, even that tiny little detail. On certain nights, just be outside somewhere. You can see the Northern Lights. First time I saw them I was heading to some small village, night fell, just the right piece of music started (I believe it was Aurora) and the lights in the sky. I just stopped and enjoyed the view for about 15-20 minutes.

For $20 ??? Yes, get it.

The "walkthrough" movie isn't 100% accurate because it was edited to keep the pace moving, but you can see the thing here.

Yes. Skyrim is much fun - especially modded. Been a while so I have to catch up on the mod scene.
The cold weather mod (Frostfall is the name IIRC) is one of your 10 must-haves.
