Astronomy / Space SkyStones, Alien Objects

This stone, known as Skystone or Kryponite, was found in 1990. It consists of 77% Oxygen with trace amounts of Silicon, Carbon, Calcium and Sodium.

Researchers concluded that the stone was different from any other stone found on Earth, probably originating outside the planet. Carbon dating revealed that the stone arrived on Earth anywhere between 2,500 and 17,000 years ago.

Another mysterious stone that has perplexed scientists is the Hypatia stone. Discovered in Libya, the Hypatia stone is just a pebble.
What makes it unique is that its chemical composition is unlike anything found on Earth or even in space.

These objects are not from Earth and could not have been made by any chemical or geological processes we can describe or explain.

In the case of the Skystone, Oxygen exists as a gas and/or a liquid. To compress it to a solid and stable form is outside our technical knowledge and expertise.

The truth is out there.....

The truth is out there…

Apparently this synthetic material has its discovery attributed to 2 different men.

David Lamar Ledbetter June 30, 1950 - May 6, 2018. Noted Gem and Diamond Prospector. Beginning in 1986, David mined and explored gem deposits in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Brazil, Columbia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Russia. Skystone was added to his list of discoveries in 1991 when he purchased his first diamond concession in Sierra Leone. Skystone was discovered during an excursion into the jungles of Sierra Leone in 1991.

Or…

The Skystone was discovered in 1990 by the Angelo Pitoni, an archeologist and geologist, in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Its composition was found to be composed of 77% oxygen, along with traces of carbon, silicon, calcium and sodium. This composition makes 'Sky Stone' similar to a kind of concrete or stucco, and seems to have been artificially colored.

Spectrography indicates that the sky stone micro-tile was cast from a silica-based geopolymer mixture consisting of rice husk ash (93% microsilica SiO2) and indigo pigment added to sodium hydroxide solution.

The sky stone spectrograph identified 6.39% silicon and 0.46% aluminium - a ratio of over 12 (Si : Al = 12.6), further confirming the geopolymeric origin of sky stone as a caustic slurry of microsilica and indigo powders.

Looking at the Ledbetter website, they’re trying to sell pieces of “skystone” for thousands of dollars.

My guess is that they are not alien objects, just objects to line scammer’s pockets 😉
