Slave smuggling

Hi everyone.
Its the second time i try slave smuggling and it simply doesnt seem to work for me. Whenever i try to go to hyperspace an error message appears and tells me i cant, due to too much cargo.
The ship im using this time can carry up to 8t. The only thing in my cargo room is the 3 slaves im trying to smuggle, and 3 slaves really shouldnt weigh 8t.
I hope someone can help me

Calculate your jump after you have filled your cargo. Cargo has mass and effects your jump range.

This, but he may need to select the multi-system route button if the target system is further than his jump range. Pointer shows which one I mean.

Uh, im a noob and dont know the different Elite terms
Can you explain it in a a way so noobs understand it? :-D

your range is limited by your Frame shift drive so an unladen (ie no cargo) ship may jump 4 LY for instance but if you load up with 3 Slaves it might only have a jump range of 3.5LY so loading up cargo may mean you cant jump far enough now

Check on the galaxy map if there is another route or upgrade you FSD so you can jump further
