Slaves on station commodity screen as high demand, come back with slaves, and it's not there anymore

Happened to anyone else? They were offering a great price for them, I literally left and was back there not 10 minutes later with slaves, and it was just gone. No black market either, so I was left with a hood full of wretched humans and no where to sell them. Also, anyone have any tips on how to find places to sell slaves in general? I know many anarchies sell them, but I can't for the life of me find anywhere that actually wants to buy them (with the exception of the slave hand in missions, but I would love to find a trade route for them)

The whole trading logic is a mess not just slaves. Elite is turning more and more into a huge knot getting ever harder to put right!

However slaves are funny things, i guess they walked off! I mean they weigh 1 ton each, its not like much can stop them!

I used to wonder why i couldnt give a slave a seat next to me but then the chair doesn't look strong enough to hold 1 ton!

Thinking more if units are simply 1 ton worth of slaves, surely we should have different qualities of tonnage, id personally want 1 ton of average sized slaves so there likely to be healthy enough to do something yet not too large to take up most of the tonnage(more slaves per ton). Perhaps thats why emperial slaves are more expensive cause there toned and healthy yet normal slaves are just either over weight or so thin and weak there no good to anyone!

Its a crazy universe!

:)
Well thats a new one.
Add it to the long list of "remakabilities" of the trading system. It is now more borked that it ever was.
If I had to trade , I would suffer brain haemorrhaging within a day, or beat someone /thing. Cat , dog Wife, kids, neighbour, fellow office workers, a wall, not my computer, a carpet, ect.
Just give up you cant win.
Cyanide is a quick way out, or stop trading. Become a serial kil..bounty hunter. :)
Hunt them if they have a bounty or even if you think they might in the future incur a small fine. :)
Better safe than sorry :)

have a route, were i was buy palladium and slaves, selling at either end, past week, the palladium stockpiles would be jumping between two figures within 10min, would by 400 units from a stockpile of 55k, come back 10min later, there a stockpile of 24k, come back another 10min later, stockpile is back at 55k. The past day, it seems to only have just settled at 24k, which is bad for business. Slave supply/cost
seems to be stable.

unless some goverment change in the station as affected it in your case?

I've had that very thing happen to me as well.... bought slaves for a station that had demand, came back, and nothing. No demand. Gone. That was back earlier around 1.0 release.

It was a while ago though... I figured it might have been fixed with the whole market corrections in recent updates. Maybe not.

Whether or not you can sell Slaves to a given station is based on Demand. Often, the demand for Slaves is a low number like 6,000, and if a T7 or Clipper or Python or T9 commander decides to sell Slaves there for a while (profit per unit is typically in the high 1400s), they can chew through that demand real quick.

The demand won't come back for a while. When it does it's a small number to start with.

I've definitely seen Slaves come and go from the Commodity list at one station I was trading out of for a while. Like one hour you could sell Slaves there, and the next hour you couldn't, then two hours later you could again. Clearly, it was a favorite spot for dumping Slaves.

Haven't seen that one but I have noticed that prices aren't changing at all in the little route I was doing this week. Used to be they'd fluctuate in real time.

Makes no sense that a high demand item would suddenly disappear, did you ticket it (lol) ?

Similar happened to me last night but not with slaves, it was disappearing battle weapons at a station, I wont tell you where as I am enjoying the peace and quiet for now-only 15 ships passed through the area in the last 24 hrs and 9 of them were me :) Maybe a few things altered with 1.06.
