Dinosaurs Sleepy Dinosaurs

Your Feature Request / Idea
I am pleased that they added a sleeping behaviour in the most recent patch, however, I think it wasn't implemented perfectly. I understand that it would be a lot more difficult to add an 'Energy' requirement to all of the dinosaurs, that would deplete as time passed and they would have to sleep to recover it, but I think it would have made sense. Also, given that there is a day-night cycle in the game, why didn't they connect the sleeping aspects to this new cycle? Have dinosaurs active during the day and sleep at night, with maybe some of the smaller carnivores being nocturnal?

As I said, I am glad that they put sleeping behaviours in, but I think it needs work.

Adding an "energy" meter wouldn't be too much work but it would separate herds when they all have to sleep at different times, as per their individual energy meters.

The day/night cycle isn't intrinsically tied into the game - it's only a setting. So you can't have the dinosaurs linked to it. Would they be able to sleep if the game was set to daytime only?

I guess that makes sense. Unless herd members stick close to others who are sleeping?
Switching the day-night cycle off would be a problem, so the second idea would probably not work.

I agree with FraeGirders, it's a very good idea!
And some dinosaurs of the herd that do not need to sleep at the same time as others could lie down without sleeping next to those who sleep,
like that :
