Slight dissapointment in Maps

I was searching for a fun map to start a new zoo, and was checking out different biomes and continents. Very quickly I noticed that within a biome, the maps are exactly the same regardless of the continent they're supposed to be in. IRL, grassland in Europe does really not look the same as grassland in Asia, nor do African temperate biomes look like North American ones. It just doesn't make sense to me to give use the option to choose different continent if the maps look exactly the same. I'd suggest to just remove the option to choose different continents, because (at least to me) it has no added value if all the maps look the same.

I'm confident we will get a scenario editor in the future so you can make your own landscapes to play in and set your own difficulty.

Oh, is there a comprehensive list online with more details on this? I'm wondering whether to place my taiga zoo in NA or EU and if the weather is different I'm interested in knowing the differences :)
