Slightly confused

Heya guys, I got a mission to take tea to BD+47. However I saw no red text or anything to warn me about the distance. So I made a few jumps to as close as I could get to BD+47 and it's 7.16ly away which is just out of my range....... What do I do? :(

Drink lots of tea??

If you have time try to upgrade you FSD or drop some weight. Sell off a gun or maybe a utility you don't use that often.

You have to lose weight , so your ship can jump farther. Burn fuel so you have less weight. Sell parts of your ship so you may jump farther. Or do the upgrade thing to the Frame shift drive. Good luck with the last one though 6 hours of play time and not a better one that I've seen. I need to get away from the busy part of the "pill".

Also, I tried to land at a station, Told me to go to platform 3. Tried landing on it. Nothing, Even the big 03 is above it, Dont understand?

When you takeoff at any port/station the little angled plate in front of you that moves, Must be behind you when you land . Direction is very important. And do remember to put your gear down.... very embarrassing.

I've seen this minor, occasional bug before. Easy solution is to fly out of the station, cancel docking and then request it again.

I upgraded my power source and shields to a different one the starting sidewinder are 1.3 tonnes, but the new ones I bought were only 0.5, so that is one way to lose weight. I can now jump over 8ly with the starting FSD.

Few other questions.

When I was flying to a station, I think a player intercepted me but it was like a mini game to try and escape, Is that something new to this 3.0?

And when I landed at the main station, I hit outfitter and am stuck on Stand By

Yes, new to 3

It should say stand by while your ship is lowered into the hangar. Is anything moving at all? Sounds buggy to me

Yeah, the hangar gets stuck sometimes. You can log out and in, ecit to the main menu, or disrupting your net connection for a second. The ED makes my laptop really hot, i need to take breakes, so for me its just a signal to exit Elite for few minutes...

Power plant is ok, what i need is a Heat Sink Launcher ;). The window is next to the couch, it could work... I will think about getting it after the winter :D.

Had the exact same mission except it was animal meat. I was 7.16ly out with a range of 7.10, studied the map a bit and figured out a roundabout route it wasn't showing me and got to Morgar which was something like 6.7ly away from BD+47.
