Community Event / Creation Slough Bells Ringing TWITCH STREAM with Cdr Angel Rose

I've left Vesper now but I did a bit more first. More missions, more trade, more war. I dare say I've made a difference overall. :)

~The Mostly Hammerless~
After a long day of having fun and doing silly things with their ships the Hammers of Slough are ready to make their presence known in the region.
A small band of friends calling themselves "The Mostly Hammerless" leave Slough Orbital set for adventure and gaining riches.
The first to leave is an Imperial Clipper who loves to dance, he might look tough but is really a gentle giant of his kind.
Soon to be followed by his three friends in the small but nippy Sidewinders so much loved by the Hammers of Slough.
The friends form up and join the Clipper in his merriment.
Suddenly the 3 friends are alerted by a presence in the area and scatter to investigate.
Unnoticed by the Clipper Two Federal eyes gaze upon the now lonely dancing big white ship.
The Fed has seen the merriment of this band of Imp aligned scum and is not pleased to not be able to take part.
He feels his time has now come to take the chance and maybe gain rank and standing with the Federal Navy and maybe get an audience with Zachary Hudson himself!
Emerging from his hiding place where he has been sitting all day he bears down on the unaware and dancing Clipper.
The Clipper thinking that the Adder is coming to dance with him is quickly taught the lesson of Federal aggressiveness.
His systems slowly dimming the Clipper's dance comes to a halt.
The Adder feels truly victorious and does his own victory dance around the now motionless Clipper before him, and starts reporting his victory to the Federal Navy to claim his success.
The three friends alerted to the firing on their mate come quickly to his aid.
The Adder alerted to the return of the small wing mates of the clipper quickly does the math and comes to the conclusion he could probably take one or two out maybe just crippling all of them. But killing all them would most certainly lead to his ultimate demise.
His best option is to jump to super cruise and get support of the allied Federal forces still in the system to dispatch these rebellious pirates.
The Sidewinders in full anger now swoop down on the Adder, hell-bent to consign his remains to the void.
Due to his years of combat training and service in the Federal navy the bounty hunter is able to dodge the ferocious attacks of these 3 pests and jumps to safety to plot his next steps.
The three friends return quickly to their big friend to find him floating lifelessly in the void. They frantically but gently start nudging him to check if he is ok, but nothing happens.
Space has just gone a little bit colder with the loss of this commander!
Maybe a final dance with him will make his lifeless soul happy before they pull him out into the Vesper-M4 star to give him a proper send off. A practise that has been used for many commanders in the past like the Vikings did to send their hero’s into Valhalla.
The three friends take solemn distance and see their friend do his lifeless final dance.
But what is that…! Energized by the love and care of his friends the Clipper starts to powers up and life returns to the systems of the great white ship. The revived clipper joins his friends in a merry dance in thanking them for their love and help.
Than they see Commander Angel Rose the un proclaimed leader of the Hammers of Slough. Slowly they form up in front of her and do the secret wing waggle salute before they bid her farewell to leave her to her business of running the wings of the Hammers.
Out for revenge they set off to kick the Federal scum out of Vesper-M4 once and for all! Our protagonists then request the hammer’s patent pending AI, "DORIS" to raise flaps and take them to super cruise and out into the void!

Based in Tarach Tor. Just look for the "Eagles of Tranquillity" thread.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/edchomeworld/

You people know me. This is my group's first regular event. Please come along!

"My group might well shortly offer a weekly winged combat opportunity. In Eagles. The "Eagles of Tranquillity" was envisaged as a training programme but has proved so popular that we are now inviting all pilots to join us in our "Wings of Eagles" programme; all assistance offered to the Guardians of Tranquillity will, of course, be reciprocated."

Hammers of Slough; Neutral to Friendly to Allied, back to Friendly - cocked up a mission - back to Allied. Then added a dozen extra missions for good luck - and to protect against further cockups :) ... and relax. All in a days work...

My faction (Guardians of Tranquillity) have just expanded to a new system. I admit that I like to take control and issue briefings, updates, etc....

"VOICE OF THE RESISTANCE

OPERATION BD-22 286

System Intel:

Low population system with two outposts ("Ampere Port" and "Ford Refinery") situated close to the star. Both sell metals for very reasonable prices. This is good because Tranquillity pays good money for most metals.

Does this sound somewhat familiar? It will if you have ever been to Gautama. The game could offer us this alternative because of the increased range of systems taken into account for missions etc. I would have preferred Gautama because it is closer but they are both very similar.

"Guardians of Tranquillity" influence is only 6%. This is, by far, the weakest in the system.

Mission Statement:

We can and will take control of the BD-22 286 system. It might seem a daunting task, given our very low initial influence, but that will not last long if we act quickly.

Firstly, do not worry about your reputation with the Guardians in the new system; if you are allied with them in Tarach Tor then you will automatically be allied with the faction in BD-22 286.

Because of the low influence, you will be offered few faction missions and they are unlikely to be 'quality' missions. This does not, in any way, reduce our ability to promote our faction, albeit indirectly. Simply accept missions for rival factions, then immediately abandon them. This reduces those factions' influence, therefore indirectly improving ours. We did this in Mehudti and it rapidly raised our faction from a tiny influence up to be the dominant faction. A civil war soon ensued there, which we won to take control of the Mehudti system. The same simple strategy will work here.

Of course, as our faction's influence increases, you will be offered more & better faction missions. By all means, take and complete any that you like. Be advised that abandoning a mission will upset the faction that offered it, harming your reputation with that faction. So, think before abandoning any mission offered by a faction that you are fond of for any reason.

Let us take BD-22 286, for us.

- Admiral Sinclair"

Just sold 2M worth of exploration data at Tarach Tor, but only friendly with the Guardians! Boy they have high standards for the allied status.

Noticed there is a war in Vesper-M4, so taking my loot to buy a python. Will then go back to Slough and see if the war is still on....

From a screen shot I've seen, the Hammers seem to be wiping the floor with the opposing factions, with 90% influence. A couple of factions are at 0%.

My faction, the Guardians of Tranquillity, based in Babylon 6, are about to take control of another system, and hence evolve.

Change is coming. Watch This Space.

Am now allied with the Guardians of Tranquillity. Took a while as I timed out gain allied status to the Pilots Federation in Shinrata Dezra too.

Good job you can have multiple allies :)

Now should I buy an Eagle?

After spending the last couple of evenings enjoying driving fast and aimlessly around planets in my new (SRV) buggeh :) I am really looking forward to seeing what sports events / races CMDR Angel Rose comes up with for the people of "Hammers of Slough" when Horizons is released :D.

Incoming fun...
