Why fly direct when you can see more of our beautiful galaxy?

This is a planned expedition open to everyone, starting on 25th August 2023. It is expected to last a little over a month.

No donations of tritium are needed as the carrier is already fuelled for the journey. This expedition is FREE.

Commanders will be offered a place on the fleet carrier for the return or perhaps onwards journey, once the destination has been reached.

Incidentally, I recently started an expedition of my own to Colonia because I have yet to visit it. But instead of just taking the boring direct straight line route, I have decided to follow the Orion arm clockwise until I reach the position of Colonia, after which I'll make a 90-degree turn to the right and proceed towards it (give or take some degrees depending on whether I encounter something interesting in that region).

Enjoy your trip!
The direct route might be fast but it's dull. It's a shame to miss all the sights.

The fleet carrier 'Challenger's Hope' (HHW-2TQ) is now in the starting system (LHS 3295), ready for boarding.

It is fitted with all services apart from a Secure Warehouse and Pioneer Supplies, which I don't see the need for.

N.B. : Notorious commanders will not be granted docked permission.

I visited Colonia, did some engineering there, and then I went to the center because it's closeby, went as far "up" from Saggitarius A* as my ship would take me (could see the whole galaxy at once from there), and then I returned to the bubble. Quite a trip.

Awesome.

I'll be doing some Engineering too. It'll be my first visit there and I thought I'd take the scenic route and throw my trip open to the community as well.

I'd like to remind everyone that my fleet carrier will be departing for the start of this expedition at 1800 UTC on 25th August 2023.

Challenger's Hope (HHW-2TQ) is currently in LHS 3295 ready for boarding of your ships and any modules you may wish to bring.
