Slow Burn - popularity on reddit

Looks like Frontier's basic philosophy of getting on with the job is paying off. Growth on Reddit is stellar at the moment.

agreed, the flash harry approach gets a lot of interest in the beginning but ultimately leads to people asking when they are going to get all the content they were promised.

FD play it close to the chest then blow you away with content releases, that is always going to be a crowd pleaser.

and if anyone MUST know what comes next they can take a look in the DDA and get a god idea of what to expect without all the fanfare.

Amen and Amen...thats 2 Amen's for anyone counting :D

Hopefully ED will start getting a bit more media attention. At the moment all the focus seems to be on Star Citizen. Most of the people I play online with (apart from a few of similar age and gaming background to myself) haven't heard of ED but they have heard of SC.

But I like the "quietly getting on with the job" approach taken by FD. These days, too many game publishers put far more effort into the marketing (the hype train) than they do the content. So we end up with a half-finished and buggy game and a lot of broken promises.
