Slow loading of launcher and game

When i double click the Elite Horizons icon it takes ages for the launcher to pop up. It used to pop up in like 2 seconds. Then i click play and its ages before the game starts.
Anyone else having this problem?
The only thing I've done recently is change my HUD colours by altering the Graphics config file.

Game loading fine, but i had 4 or 5 matchmaking errors today. Definitely something wrong on their side.

And another connection error, while i was typing this. Thats it for me for today i guess.

So the long loading times are not normal, then? I wondered, seeing Scott Manley's let's play videos and the rapid jumps / super cruise transitions and thinking my long times were just due to my computer. Huh.

I have been experiencing this as well for several weeks (since about a week before the 2.3 beta started, which I don't have access to so this is just about live). I have found that if it is taking too long that I can sometimes get around it by shutting down the client and restarting but this does not always work. Whether the problem is load on the servers or something else at FDs end I don't know but I mostly use my laptop and sometimes the family desktop and have seen it happen on both, although it seems more common on my laptop.

I found if i try launching it again it says "app already running" then the launcher pops up. Its like its runnng but doesn't pop up until i remind it.

If you play in open then the jump times will be longer, especially if there are people in the instance you are jumping into.

Well in game might be fixed soon. There's a reboot happening in a few minutes.

But, my launcher can take a long time too. It's been doing it for months though. No idea why.
