Newcomer / Intro small annoying glitch

Bought game but not a tester, been playing for a week and overcoming the odd glitch and server failure,but now have a glitch that wont go away. It happens when I request docking permission when I get the ok message my flight keys stop working and the only way to regain control is to hit escape twice. Ive noticed that the reply message in the top left is double underscored when the keys are frozen, but only single underscore whe I use esc to free the keys
any suggestion on a cause.

I suspect you are pressing the number 2 to get back to the main HUD after you have requested docking.
That is why because you are actually activating comms which happens to be on the forward view.
After requesting docking press the left shift view to return to forward view.

I suffered the same angst as you until I worked out what I was doing wrong.
