Small Arx change suggestion.

ok so having a weekly allotment of arx that can possibly be earned in a single day is going to make people only play until they hit that arx cap then give up for the rest of the week. not everybody of course but its a bad gamer habit. it happens in MMO's all the time. changing it to a daily limit rather then weekly will fix that for you to a degree.

explorers do deserve to make their allotment as well, changing it so you dont earn arx from selling data and instead earn a bit more arx for the actually acts of exploring. a small amount for honking, a bit more for fully scanning everything in a system, and the top amount for mapping the whole system. this way even people who are 40,000 lys from a station can still make their cap. even if they cant spend it lol

FDev thanks for not acting like EA or some other big company. arx works great so far and the fact that your basically giving it away just for playing the game is pretty awesome. people forget that this is a business and you guys deserve to get paid for the work you put into this game. i am looking forward to the future of this game and the elite universe in general. o7

also still hoping for some historical story missions. seeing jamesons last mission via VR would be amazing. imagine a first person look at a thargoid mothership. you could even handwave away the recording as something the remlock company had stored somewhere. playing historically significant missions from the previous games with this generations of graphics would be awesome.
 
Dailies would be worse in my opinion.

.... and if players are only going to play for as long as they get free stuff (that they didn't get before) - were they playing at all before?
its just a mental trap some gamers fall into. i've been guity of it myself which is why i was pointing it out. i personally have no problem with it either way. :)

I got 14 exploration ARX (and 2 "other") a couple of days ago just for doing a few jumps, landing on a planet, and driving the SRV around topping up my materials. Selling data works well but certainly isn't the only way.
 
So you're saying fdev should encourage people who don't otherwise play to log in every day .... and people are accusing fdev of being evil 🤔

Yeah, until the ways to earn ARX become clearer then these types of misunderstanding are going to continue...

Earning via Hyperjumps is confusing people as they do missions and wonder why they have 'exploration' arx.
 
I expect there will be an initial increase in people playing one day, maxing out Arx and then switching off for the week. But I also expect that will disappear once the system becomes more familiar. After all, you can't do anything really important with Arx, you can only buy cosmetics and they can't be exchanged for real money or other useful benefits. For all the fuss, it is in reality a very minor thing.

There's a lot of temporary excitement about it, but that's just novelty. People who like playing the game will continue playing the game. People who don't, won't.

We can spend it there - press ESC and select "main menu" to spend :D Problem is ...120 arx in 13-14 hrs of playing and 14000 ly passed ...ye-ye, turn in data ....closest station is 20000+ now ....
