Ships Small sco-capable multirole?

I'd like something that can take me to 400-500k ly away planet, fast and in one piece, not baked nor half baked. Best if the ship could fit srv bay and small size cargo for srv findings such as escape pods. What ships and engineering for such task? Hauler, Adder, Sidey, Diamondback, Dolphin or perhaps Cobra? I haven't touched sco drives yet and not investigated what ships are good for such long trips, only heard that smallest ships are excellent when it comes to speed and fuel usage. Your propositions, ideas and comments welcome.

i have a 'multipurpose' cobra with sco and extra size 2 fuel tank. up to 100k ls it is very comfortable. for longer distances you will have to do some management...
i made 400k ls with it by overcharging in very small bursts, using 98% of fuel and going last few tens of thousands ls on just supercruse, fumes and hope.
i think im just going to treat small sco ships like something that can overcharge up to 100k ls....
(tried the trip with adjusted vette and while the fuel is good, the controls are wild and heat is enormous. didnt get to play with sco on mediums yet.)

For engineering, get Ammo Capacity for heat sinks.
You may want to check out this thread: Measured SCO Fuel/Hour and Speed Rates.

I used the Hauler when the SCO drives first came out. It does handle overcharges pretty smoothly, but fitting an SRV bay will hurt jump range.
An Adder can fit shields, cargo, SRV bay, and so can the Viper MkIII.
Think about the Imperial Courier, or the Vulture. You could fit up to 4 heat sink launchers and carry extra fuel tanks.

I'm including medium ships with class 4 FSD slots. A Keelback or Type-6 could easily carry enough fuel for a 400k ls journey, and 3 utility slots for heat sink launchers should be enough.
Personally, I'm using an Asp Scout. It fits a good size fuel scoop, cargo and an SRV bay. I've done a 400k ls journey with 2 or 3 short overcharges since the fuel tank isn't enough to go the whole way.

A viper mk4 is what I use, but a diamondback scout checks all your boxes too, runs colder, and has 4 utility slots. Both have a size 4 fuel tank by default. The imperial courier is another 4-utility small ship with a fuel tank the same class as its fsd.

I don't tend to run SCO the whole time on journeys that size though - I usually run it up until I get a heat warning then switch it off until I've cooled down.

My (only) ship is a multirole fast combat explorer Cobra Mk III with the attributes you describe. 16 T corrosion-resistant cargo rack, SRV, good armaments (Salvo modded plasma chargers and corrosive overcharged multicannons) and ‘adequate’ shields and armour - my speed, manoeuvrability and heat sinks get me out of any hairy situation. 618 ms boost speed; 43 ly range.

I took it out to Persephone recently which from memory is about 470 kls from the centre of the Sol system, using the SCO in bursts. I don’t use an extra tank, just the built-in 16 T one. I had enough fuel left for a jump to Barnard’s Star to refuel there afterwards (there’s literally nothing out as far as Persephone it terms of services or anything at all really).
