At the moment in the game we have a medium size Seismic Charge Launcher because it's obvious that we need a certain power to blow up big asteroids.
A small seismic charge launcher won't make it... Sorry Kenneth... It won't simply work.
BUT
Because of this limitation we have some good news!
PREMISE:
Anyone who wants to use a Small Seismic Charge launcher wants to go mining with a roomy but cheap ship (cheaper than a Krait Phantom) so expect more difficulties in extracting the core materials.... it's just common sense and game balance.
HOW IT WORKS:
By placing the correct amount of small seismic charges in the asteroid fissures you won't completely crack open an asteroid. You still have some cool sound and visual effect though.
The explosion will open the core and will help to take the pure materials to the sub-surface layer of the asteroid.
Yes, you guessed it! Sub-surface displacement missiles.
Next step is not shooting with the Abrasion Blaster (you won't need that at all), but shooting the displacement missiles to dislodge and eject the material. So there are chances that you will lose some material if you're not lucky and good at it.
So in the end Small Seismic Charges would also give more sense to another mining tool that at the moment is pretty useless.
