Small Species candidates for the frontier Developers.

I really think small species are definitely needed so we can have a diversity of many dinosaurs on land and then possibly in the waters of our parks.

We Need a Smaller Azhdarchide Species in JWE2. Plus it's a species that became famous in the prehistoric Planet series. Wouldn't mind having this one in our aviaries.

Albertadromeus is a small Ornithopod smaller Than its cousin Dryosaurus

A Protoceratops definitely would be a warm welcome to many players in jwe 2

Mononykus is truly a little bizarre dinosaur in will fossil record but still would be welcomed by the community because of its short little tiny arms.

Aquilops is a close relative of pisttacosaurus. Pisttacosaurus is more famous than this species and it's true many people want that species over Aquilops. Although it's more heavily presented in Prehistoric Kingdom I feel like Frontiers should do something different and introduce a species that is unique and is not well represented in any game so why not this species instead.

Microceratus was introduced in Jurassic world Dominion, but it had a blue skin and a red skin patterning that truly made it stand out from the other dinosaurs in the black market scene.

Jakapil a truly bizarre species from the south definitely deserves some light because we do not have armored two-legged species of dinosaur just yet in the game.

A Small Mosasaur is definitely needed because plesiosaurs are over exaggerated already in the game but mosasaur's only have two individuals and the last individual I recommend is Platecarpus. I wouldn't mind seeing 10 individual school together hunting fish together.

Pelecanmimus is unique enough to Warrant an inclusion not only for its unique head structure but also it's Unique size since it would be the smallest ornithomimid in Jwe2 if Introduced and ornithomimids are only represented by three individuals in the game.

of course we can't forget about archeopteryx a lot of us would definitely be on board with this species coming to the game and probably have the same need as the Sinornithosaurus.

Sinosauroteryx was made famous because it was the first dinosaur that we actually knew its color based on pigments in its feathers.

a novel species but a species that could be worth being added due to its size.

Aquilarhinus is Small Hadrosaur that's extremely small and I wouldn't mind this species being added as a very small address or very first small Hadrosaur in Jwe2.

well hopefully This Thread will give Frontier on which small species they should add in the game. And I hope this satisfies the players need for smaller species of dinosaurs and other creatures.

I would love to see several smaller dinosaurs added to JWE2. Here is my list for smaller species I would like to see

1.) Protoceratops
2.) Microceratops
3.) Zalmoxes
4.) Microraptor
5.) Oviraptor
6.) Mononyckus
7.) Platecarpus
8.) Polycotylus
9.) Rhamphorhynchus
10.) Pterodactylus

I am up for Protoceratops, Microceratus, Oviraptor, Archaeopteryx, and Rhamphorhynchus.

I wonder if anyone want Ornitholestes even if its carcass only appeared in the original novel version of The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

"'I’m calling,' Levine said, 'with the results of the trip. Single specimen, not in good shape. Location: BB-17 on your map. That’s far south, which fits all of our hypotheses. I wasn’t able to make a precise identification before they burned the specimen. But my guess is that it was an ornitholestes. As you know, this animal is not on the list—a highly significant finding.'" (Crichton, 67)

Crichton, Michael. The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Random House, (1995). EPUB file.

The creatures that are not in either the novel or films I would like seeing (I'm only going to chose 5 since that seems to be the norm for creature packs):
  1. Protoceratops
  2. Rhamphorhynchus
  3. Ophthalmosaurus (need more ichthyosaurs)
  4. Heterodontosaurus
  5. Zalmoxes

Okay some my suggestions for small dinosaurs & pterosaurs for JWE2 are as follows

  • Microceratus - small neoceratopsian
  • Protoceratops - classic Asian neoceratopsian
  • Bambiraptor - Small dromaeosaur
  • Microraptor - tiny gliding dromaeosaur
  • Archaeopteryx - first avian dinosaur
  • Stegouros - small parankylosaur slightly smaller than Minimi

  • Rhamphorhynchus - small pterodactylid with a long tail (~1.8-2 meter wingspan)
  • Nyctosaurus - small nyctosaurod pterosaur (~2 meter wingspan)

Personally I like @Mickey Megafauna suggestion of having Halszkaraptor added into the game as we currently don't have any small piscivore species in this game currently. I think Pelecanimimus, Falcarius, Rhamphorhynchus, Protoceratops, Archaeopteryx, and Masiakasaurus would be good species to add to the game. Some other small species I think would make nice additions to the game are:
Piatnitzkysaurus

Would Epidexipteryx (smallest dinosaur ever) sound like a nice idea?

You're missing a few really good ones...
  • Eoraptor - one of the first dinosaurs - looks like a theropod; some think it's an early prosauropod, while others say it's neither.
  • Lesothosaurus - tiny, early ornithopod.
  • Scutellosaurus - tiny, early armored dinosaur - looked like Lesothosaurus, but covered in scutes.
  • Yinlong - tiny, primitive ceratopsian - coexisted with Mamenchisaurus and Gigantspinosaurus.
  • Guanlong - a small proceratosaur with a big crest - also coexisted with Mamenchisaurus and Gigantspinosaurus.
  • Hypsilophodon - the original hypsilphodont.
  • Leptoceratops - small, primitive, late-surviving ceratopsian - coexisted with Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, etc.
  • Heterodontosaurus - early ornithopod with unusual teeth - may have been covered in fur or quills.
  • Beipiaosaurus - a relatively small therizinosaur and former largest feathered dinosaurs - still small enough for this list apparently.
  • Rhamphorynchus - early pterosaur with unique beak - now that Dimorphodon 2022 is a thing, accurately scaling this guy seems plausible.
  • Zhenyuanopterus - a small Yixian pterosaur with an interesting face - a really nice mod version exists.

Would Epidexipteryx (smallest dinosaur ever) sound like a nice idea?
Not really... the thing is barely longer than the average human finger... you'd never be able to see it...

Personally - I think the Moros in JWE2 is too small at roughly the same size as compies. Yes, it was roughly the same size as the one in JW: Dominion. But that one was also stated to be a juvenile. I wish that Moros (in JWE2) was about the same size as Troodon, or Proceratosaurus.

I think it should be bigger too. The real Moros was around 3 meters in lenght.

This is the size of Epidexipteryx & yet you say it is butterfly sized. This is more the size of a rat.

Which is still about half the size of a compsognathus... may have been thinking of the related Scansoriopteryx when saying butterfly sized. The similar but slightly larger Yi would be a better option; that's the one where the "bat winged" look was discovered.
