Small zoo year end analysis of habitat/exhibit profitability

These numbers are as good as I can get them given the information available in game, but they were an eye opener for me.
All running costs are with base level food, and small exhibit environment controls set to the bare minimums in heat and humidity that gets it in the green.

From front of Zoo to back:

Chinese Pangolins - Main Habitat

Chinese Pangolins - Breeding Habitat

Reptile House - 3 Small Exhibits
  • Last Year Costs: $266.1 ($73.40 + $73.10 + $119.60)
  • This Year Donations: $29.88 ($4.98 + $14.94 + $9.96)
  • Profit/Loss: ($-236.22)

What really bothers me about this is the Gharials. That habitat is constantly full of guests. The Gharials as a species have around 3k appeal versus the 1k of Pangolins. Yet clearly the habitat isn't profitable. In addition to the MUCH higher overhead (from food mostly), the donations are much lower.
