Sat in a battle with the Rift and my shields were taken down. I started taking damage and my console started smoking.

Wow, it was so realistic it actually made me jump the 1st time. I could almost smell it.

Awesome work FD on this small but fantastic rendering.

If you haven't turned off the ship's life support recently then try it.

I'm not sure when they changed this but it's different than it was back in Premium Beta and it's pretty cool now.

I had a similar experience in the Rift. Playing one of the tutorials to plink around with some missiles and suddenly my cockpit glass was shot out. An eruption of shards and a whoosh of decompression later, and I find myself staring face to face with the void, with only my breath in my ears. I suddenly felt very exposed. Immersion to the max!

Not so sure about realistic.. I suspect it's not very much at all like being alone in the void, sealed inside a confined space that's filling up with smoke :eek:
But yeah.. it's a nice effect :)
