I had an idea while smuggling some tobacco into Binnie Market (Tobacco smuggling?!?! I'M HISTORY'S GREATEST MONSTER!).
Would it be possible to confuse the station sensors if you also have a complimentary cargo in your hold?
By this I mean, let's say you are smuggling in Bootleg Liquor into a station. The station has deemed this bath-tub giggle juice illegal and will frown mightily upon you if you bring the clear drain cleaner into the Slot. They are scanning random ships in the hopes to catching Intergalactic Moonshiners, like yourself. However, you have become aware that carrying an equal quantity of Synthetic Meat, for example, in your hold at the same time can confuse the stations sensors juuuuuust long enough for you to slip into the station and have a hard earned celebratory swig of your successfully smuggled liquid brain-cell basher.
By carrying complimentary cargo in your hold, you partially mask the presence of the illegal smuggled contraband and give yourself a couple of extra seconds to get in or out of the station... TO FREEDOM!
