Snap to Ground Option + Finer vertical increments

Hello,

I'd like the option when selecting an object or group of objects, to be able to snap/position/align them to the ground beneath them. I find I'm having a lot of trouble placing steam workshop buildings/objects exactly on the ground, resulting in floating scenery. I tried tapping Shift, but it doesn't seem to work in all cases (I'm wondering if it's using the lowest vertical object of a group of objects to snap to the ground, and then leaves everything else in the air above it).

So, as an example of expected behavior - if I have 3 objects - a Tree, a Rock, and a Bush that are all at different vertical heights. I select all three, use this option, and they all snap to the ground beneath them (which may not necessarily result in them all being at the same height, depending on terrain height).

I tried searching around the internet for the past hour or so looking for an answer to this issue with no result. So, if anyone has any insight this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

Related to this, I notice when I use Shift to place objects vertically, there seems to be a large increment between one height and the next. Is there a way to change this so that you can enable a finer "tuning" when moving objects?

Thanks

Your second issue is easily fixable.

In your scenery editor, you have a 2nd tab that looks like a list. You can set the horizontal grid to 2m/4m, and the vertical grid to, I believe so atleast, the lowest to 0.25.

edit: I am sorry, it is a cogwheel!^^

Your first problem is sadly something I have noticed aswell. I uploaded an item to the workshop and because of scenery it floats quite high in the air when you want to place it... Kind if annoying.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out. [big grin]
